I'm looking to improve my website's design and I'd love to get some inspiration from you. I'd like to avoid a website where the code looks like

if you know what I mean. I'm looking for websites that are efficient, clear to navigate and do not scream "I am a startup, please buy my product". The hackernews website is a great example, albeit not appealing to the non-savvy users. Which websites should I look at ?
