Google word master seen in Germany

When just opening Google on my phone, I saw they are leveraging their user base again to label images and translate words. Looked pretty gamified with points you could score etc, named "Wortmeister". I wonder if that part of data mining or collecting labeled training data hasn't been completed from the early captcha and recaptcha years already? Filling up the gaps? Verifying the status quo? Maybe they test adoption to implement other content types? Any ideas? Edit: just found out it has been around for quite some time. However I leave my thoughts here in case someone else is confronted with it for the first time ever, just like me.
