Per email I received from Robinhood today, titled “We’re updating our privacy policy”: >> We’re updating our privacy policy Hi, Starting May 17, you and other customers may be eligible to use Pay & Request. This feature will let you and your friends send each other money on Robinhood. As part of this launch, we’re revisiting our Privacy Policy and making some changes that impact your privacy settings. Your profile visibility settings will be updated so people with a spending account can search for you on Robinhood. See the full details of our updated Privacy Policy which will take effect on May 17. How exactly are my privacy settings changing? On May 17, people with a Robinhood spending account who can use Pay & Request can search for your profile. This will be the default setting unless you opt out beforehand. No one outside of the Robinhood app will be able to see your profile information. How can I change my profile visibility settings? https://ift.tt/UPsnTM8 You can manage how people can find your profile in your profile visibility settings. Your election won’t take effect until May 17 but you can adjust your settings at any time before then. You can choose between two options: Anyone on Robinhood - Anyone with a spending account can find you. You can adjust if they can search by your name and username, phone number, or email. This option will automatically take effect. If you’d rather stay hidden, you can change your settings before May 17 or any time after. No one - No one will be able to find your profile. What information will display on my profile? Your profile shows your profile picture, username, full name, the year you joined, and the transaction history between you and the person viewing it. Don’t worry—your profile doesn't contain any sensitive personal or financial information.
