Ask HN: What's the smallest dedicated Android audio player you know?

Hey HN, in the last few years I collected a few dedicated Android music players (also DAP or Hi-Res DAP), because I like enjoying my music and audio books without distraction and these devices are much smaller than most modern phones. The problem is, that they still are all quite bulky and all of them have some caveats. QUESTION: Is there anything smaller with a pretty recent android (>10), support for custom apps and best case earphone remote support via OMTP / Audio Jack? Here is my Top 3 so far: # Fiio M6 [Hi-Res DAP] (~120 bucks used) + Pretty small and lightweight + Custom app support + Decent audio quality + Earphone remote support (OMTP via TRRS Audio Jack) + Push buttons for volume, play + Hi-Res incl. Bluetooth Licensing + Affordable when buying used one o Acceptable battery life - Pretty old android (v7) - Pretty slow - discontinued # Sony NW-A306 [Hi-Res DAP] (~300 bucks used) + Modern android (v12) + Custom app support + Decent audio quality + buttons for volume, play, next, hold etc. + Hi-Res incl. Bluetooth Licensing o Acceptable size and weight o Not the fastest - NO Earphone remote support (only via USB-C->TRRS Adapter) - expensive # Unihertz Jelly 2 [Phone] (~100 bucks used) + Modern android (v12) + Custom app support + Pretty fast + Earphone remote support (OMTP via TRRS Audio Jack) + Affordable o Programmable Button, buttons for volume o Acceptable size and weight o Acceptable audio quality - No Hi-Res Honorable mentions: Google Pixel 4a [phone] LG G5 H850 [phone] Shanling M0 Pro [audioplayer, non Android, but small] iPod Nano 6G, 7G [audioplayer, non Android, but smallest]
