Ask HN: How does one become a Go developer?

I have a background in automating infrastructure, doing Linux Administration, DevOps, and more recently a Platform Engineering role. I've been doing programming in Go since roughly 2015, but haven't done anything public facing. How do I build up this background to move towards programming in Go? I've not really figured it out, these dev jobs seem pretty elusive and I've always talked too low level or too high level during interviews. Pretty sure I talked myself out of one Go dev job by talking about how strings work traditionally in C. lol Any perspective is appreciated.
